Job summary

GBfoods in Lübeck is seeking a Maintenance Manager (m/f/d) to lead and optimize the site’s maintenance operations. You will drive budgeting, planning, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for production equipment and facilities, while coordinating with the European Engineering team.

The role requires leadership to develop teams and ensure compliance with GBfoods standards and all regulatory requirements. This is a full-time on-site position located in Lübeck, Germany.

• Manage site maintenance budget and cost control for the Lübeck site.
• Plan resources for mechanical, electrical, facility, plant IT functions.
• Coordinate and execute preventive and repair maintenance for buildings and equipment.
• Oversee procurement, spare parts, and warehouse operations.
• Lead technical projects with the European Engineering team
• Improve asset availability using Lean Manufacturing and TPM methods.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and GBfoods standards.
• Coordinate with external providers and internal stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage and control the site maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient operations.
• Plan and allocate resources and workforce requirements for mechanical, electrical, facility, infrastructure, and plant IT functions.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute repair activities as well as preventive maintenance programs for buildings and production equipment.
• Oversee technical procurement, spare parts management, and warehouse operations.
• Lead and implement technical projects, including equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations, in close cooperation with the European Engineering team.
• Ensure operational reliability of all production equipment and continuously improve asset availability using established Lean Manufacturing and TPM methodologies, including Process Kaizen Engineering.
• Ensure all technical installations comply with legal requirements, regulatory inspections, and relevant GBfoods standards.
• Coordinate external service providers and collaborate with authorities, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
• Lead, motivate, develop, and support employees within the maintenance and technical functions.
• Work closely with the local Continuous Improvement and Production teams to drive operational excellence.
• Collaborate closely with the GBfoods headquarters and central Engineering organization on strategic and operational initiatives.
