Zusammenfassung

International School of Stuttgart e.V. seeks a Part-Time Lower School Learning Assistant to support inquiry-based learning in the IB Primary Years Programme. The position starts 01 October 2026, is 17 hours per week, and runs for one year until 31 July 2027.

You will work with Early Years homeroom teachers to foster a collaborative, student-centred environment, support individuals and small groups, and help with Extended School Day activities and day-to-day routines across the school.

• Assist with Extended School Day and vacation programmes through the end of the current school year.
• Support classroom routines and supervision across the school day.

Part‑Time Lower School Learning Assistant (All Gender)

Starting 01. October 2026. This Position is initially for one year – until 31. July 2027. Part‑Time: 17 h/week

Responsibilities

• Support inquiry‑based learning within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), assisting students as they explore ideas, ask questions, and develop understanding.
• Work closely with homeroom teachers in the Early Years to support a collaborative learning environment and facilitate engaging, student‑centred learning experiences.
• Provide support to individual students and small groups to help them access the curriculum, develop independence, and build confidence as learners.
• Contribute to a positive and caring classroom environment, supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
• Assist with the Extended School Day and vacation programmes as part of our 3 / 4 Seasons Nest Programme until the end of the current School Year.
• Support classroom routines and learning activities, and, where appropriate, assist with supervision of students across the school day.
