We are looking for an experienced LOGISTICS MANAGER to develop and optimize our European logistics network for Metsä Fibre’s pulp business in Wiesbaden.
In this role, you will improve cost competitiveness, service performance and flexibility across European logistics operations. You will work closely with customers, logistics partners and internal stakeholders to develop efficient and sustainable logistics solutions that support business growth. This is an opportunity to play a key role in developing European logistics solutions that support our competitiveness, customer satisfaction and future growth. You will develop and optimize logistics flows across Europe to improve efficiency, flexibility and cost performance. You will identify new transportation and routing solutions and ensure that alternative logistics options are available when business needs or market conditions change. You will work closely with the commercial organization to create customer-focused logistics solutions and provide logistics expertise to support business decisions and customer discussions. You will use performance indicators and various data analysis to identify improvement opportunities, increase transparency and drive continuous development across the European logistics network. You will also contribute to supplier selection and development activities together with sourcing and supply chain professionals.
Your location is Wiesbaden, Germany and you will report to Vice President, Supply Chain.
You have a university degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or another relevant field. You have several years of experience in logistics, transportation and supply chain management in an international business environment. You are highly analytical and business-oriented, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and turn ideas into practical solutions. You are comfortable working with different stakeholders and building effective relationships both internally and externally. You have a proactive and results-driven approach to work and enjoy solving complex challenges in a changing environment. Strong communication skills and fluent written and spoken English are essential for success in this role. German, French, Dutch, Italian or Spanish language skills are considered as an advantage.
