Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd level support for our Ubuntu desktop fleet — from OS and hardware issues to application troubleshooting and peripherals.
• Develop and maintain automated configuration management for Linux client systems (e.g. Ansible).
• Manage software deployment, package management, and patch cycles across the desktop fleet.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and local policies on Linux endpoints.
• Integrate desktop systems into central services (LDAP/AD, SSO, VPN, network storage).
• Maintain and improve standard desktop images and provisioning workflows.
• Collaborate with the robotics and DevOps teams on tooling and environment requirements for engineering workstations.
• Document processes, write runbooks, and contribute to the internal knowledge base.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Linux system administration.
• Proficiency in relevant scripting languages such as Shell and Python.
• Strong grasp of networking principles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Debian-based operating systems, particularly Ubuntu.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English (B2 or better).
