Job summary

PWMG seeks an experienced Lifting Supervisor to support a major industrial project in Germany. You will plan, coordinate and supervise all lifting operations, including heavy modules and tandem lifts, ensuring safety and compliance.

You will prepare lift plans, risk assessments and method statements, maintain inspection records and coordinate with construction, logistics and site management to deliver lifts on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of direct lifting supervision / lifting operations experience.
• Knowledge of TRBS 1203 and TRBS 2111 in German regulatory context.
• Experience with heavy, critical and tandem lifts and lift planning.
• Strong understanding of lifting equipment inspection, certification and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes relating to lifting activities.
• Conduct pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate lifting activities with construction, logistics and site management teams.
• Ensure lifting operations are executed in accordance with approved lift plans and site procedures.

Experience Required

• Previous experience within:
• Oil & Gas or LNG
• Strong practical experience supervising complex lifting operations.
• Demonstrable experience with:
• Critical lifts
• Crane operations
• Rigging activities
• Lifting accessories
• Lift planning
• Strong understanding of lifting equipment inspection, certification and documentation requirements.

German Regulatory Knowledge

Candidates should have knowledge of:

• TRBS 1203
• TRBS 2111

Preferred Qualifications

Ideally candidates will hold one or more of the following:

• Lifting Supervisor certification
• LEEA certification
• OPITO Lifting Supervisor
• Equivalent internationally recognised lifting qualification

Software

Experience using lift planning software is preferred, including:

• 3D Lift Plan
• Similar crane and lift planning software
