Decypher is seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide professional nursing care to adults and geriatrics in a contracted setting. The role requires assessment, preparation, and assistance with treatments following clinical guidelines.

Schedule is 6:45pm to 7:15am with a 12-hour shift pattern, including one weekend shift per month at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Compensation is listed at $36.00 per hour plus housing and wages, with equal opportunity employment

Qualifikationen

• Diploma of LPN/LVN from an NLN-approved program.
• Valid, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in at least one state.
• BLS certification and 1 year of acute care experience.

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides professional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, applying nursing principles to assess, prepare, and assist with treatments and procedures in accordance with established clinical guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Diploma of LPN or LVN, from and accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) approved program.
• Licensure: Valid, unrestricted, LPN/LVN license at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth of the U.S
• Certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience: Licensed Practical Nurse for one (1) year prior to start. Must have Acute Care hospital or Inpatient Rehab Facility or Center experience

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders/conditions, diagnostic studies and treatments related to prevention, and detection of illnesses in adults, is desirable.
• The contracted LPN/LVN will be knowledgeable in professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to perform nursing assignments of moderate difficulty and experience in assessing adult and geriatric patients, as appropriate.
• Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records.
• Demonstrate professionalism in conduct to include but not limited to interactions with other team members, willingness to admit areas where improvement in skill is needed, honesty in documentation of work hours and leave requests, receive, and respond to feedback provided by other members of the team.
• Use the nursing process as a basis for professional practice. The contracted LPN/LVN will demonstrate proper assessment, preparation of patients for treatments and procedures, to include surgical interventions.
• Perform/assist with clinic specific procedures, in accordance with established policies, and guidelines used in the MTF and IAW JC guidelines. Supervise all paraprofessionals necessary in the care and treatment of the patient. Skill in setting up, operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment such as IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, nebulizers and other clinic specific equipment

Work Schedule

6:45pm to 7:15am at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. 12 hour shift. Block schedule with the expectation of working 1 weekend shift a month (Saturday and Sunday)

$36.00 per hour + H&W
