About Us

At IP Innovative Power, we partner with real estate companies to drive the energy transition and decarbonisation through renewable energy solutions, including solar, battery storage, heat pumps, CHP, EV charging, and more. As we expand, we are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our team and support our mission with robust legal guidance.

Your Role

As Legal Counsel, you will be the primary legal advisor for the company, working closely with senior management and cross‑functional teams. You will ensure legal compliance across operations, support strategic decisions, and help shape the legal framework for our growing portfolio of energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Management Support

• Advise the Managing Directors and senior leadership on all legal matters, including strategic corporate decisions and major transactions.
• Prepare risk assessments and decision memos for management.

Contract Management

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts relevant to IP Innovative Power GmbH’s business including but not exclusive:

• EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) and O&M (Operations & Maintenance) agreements
• Rental, leasing, and supply agreements
• Supply agreements including Electricity and gas supply contracts, Mieterstrom frameworks, Power

Purchase Agreements (PPAs)

• Gas and electricity trading agreements
• Maintain and update contract templates to reflect regulatory changes and best practices

Compliance & Regulatory

• Monitor internal processes for compliance with applicable laws, including GDPR / DSGVO, labor law, and voluntary codes.
• Implement compliance programs, training, and audits.
• Track changes in energy legislation and regulation; adapt contracts and internal processes accordingly.

Business Development Support

• Review and draft confidentiality agreements (NDAs), letters of intent, and partnership agreements for new projects.

Operational & Finance Support

• Provide legal guidance on contract implementation, claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
• Support accounting and billing with legal review of invoicing terms, securities, and collections.

Your Profile

• Qualified lawyer with strong experience in commercial and energy law.
• Proven expertise in:
  • Green energy systems such as solar, batteries, heat pumps, CHP, EV charging.
  • Contract law, especially energy‑related agreements (PPAs, supply, rental, M&A, real estate).
  • Project management and process optimisation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
