You will draft and negotiate capital markets contracts, oversee investor disclosures, and coordinate with external counsel and regulators across borders. The role combines risk management with strategic guidance for senior leadership.

Our client is seeking a capital markets lawyer for its in-house legal team. This role sits at the intersection of legal risk and regulatory compliance, giving strategic counsel to leadership on how capital markets obligations shape business decisions, while also keeping day-to-day disclosure and reporting activity on solid legal footing.

The role:

• Act as the go-to legal advisor on ad hoc disclosure, insider dealing rules, directors' dealings, and continuing disclosure duties.
• Sign off on legal content within investor-facing publications, including annual and quarterly reports and market announcements.
• Flag legal exposure in proposed business decisions by interpreting the relevant regulatory landscape.
• Own the drafting and negotiation of capital markets contracts and documentation, updating templates and precedents as needed.
• Build out internal policies, workflows, and training to keep the business ahead of regulatory change.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for outside counsel and regulators.

What you'll need:

• Qualified as a lawyer in Germany (First and Second State Examinations), with solid post-qualification experience.
• A strong grounding in capital markets law.
• Comfort handling high-stakes, complex legal matters at a strategic level.
