Your responsibilities :

• In this position, you will support our teaching activities in the field of Computer Science and Software Engineering, with an emphasis on the development of online and hybrid teaching and learning.
• The successful candidate will be teaching courses in the field and advise students during their studies, especially with respect to the concepts and the related use of tools for remote development of software in student teams. A suited candidate for the position hence needs expertise in software engineering and distributed development tools, e.g., GitHub, Slack, and UML tools.
• The candidate is expected to engage in innovative online teaching, for example in a flipped classroom model. The candidate will engage in the teaching of hands‑on components related to Computer Science and Software Engineering, i.e., the candidate will contribute to educating students to turn acquired knowledge into practice by developing course‑related software in remote student teams. Courses of interest include, but are not limited to Distributed Software Development, Introduction to Computer Science, Software Design and Prototyping, and Algorithms and Data Structures.

Your qualifications and experience :

• MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong interest and initial experience in teaching in international and diverse environments
• Affinity to digital teaching tools and content implementation into learning management systems
• Expertise in Software Engineering and distributed development tools, e.g., GitHub, Slack, and UML tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interest in innovative teaching methods
• Professional fluency in English, the language of instruction and communication on campus
• Intercultural experience and competencies will be considered as additional assets
