UX Design Lead

About the Role

TechnoMile is seeking a Lead UX/UI Designer to lead the design and development of advanced user experiences for our SaaS platform tailored to the Government Contracting (GovCon) industry. This role combines strategic UX leadership with hands‑on design, with a strong focus on agentic AI experiences where users collaborate with autonomous systems.

You will define how users interact with AI agents, ensuring clarity, control, and confidence while navigating complex workflows and data‑rich environments.

What You’ll Do

Agentic Experience (AX) Design

• Define and lead how users interact with autonomous AI agents
• Design human‑in‑the‑loop systems that provide visibility into AI reasoning and decision‑making
• Create interfaces for monitoring long‑running agent tasks, including status tracking, alerts, and intervention points
• Establish clear hand‑offs between users and AI systems to maintain trust and control

AI Workflow & Platform Design

• Design seamless AI‑driven workflows across React‑based applications, Salesforce, and Microsoft Power Platform (including Teams)
• Create unified experiences across multiple enterprise ecosystems

Complex Data & Content Systems

• Architect dashboards and workflows for content‑heavy, data‑rich environments
• Design systems that enable AI agents to aggregate, connect, and contextualize disparate data (e.g., linking subcontract records to prime contracts)
• Translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights

Advanced AI Interaction Design

• Move beyond chat interfaces to design canvas/workbench‑style experiences
• Enable real‑time collaboration between users and AI agents for document editing, data analysis, and multi‑step workflows

Design Systems & Consistency

• Extend and maintain our design system (based on UntitledUI)
• Define standardized UI components for:
  • AI status indicators
  • Confidence levels and explainability
  • Approval, undo, and intervention actions

Prototyping & Validation

• Develop high‑fidelity prototypes in tools such as Figma or Bolt to simulate AI‑driven interactions
• Conduct usability testing focused on user trust, clarity, and control over AI systems
• Iterate based on user feedback and behavioral insights

Strategic & Collaborative Design

• Define and drive UX vision aligned with business and product strategy
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to deliver technically feasible solutions
• Translate complex requirements into intuitive user experiences
• Present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders, leadership, and clients

Research & Optimization

• Conduct user research, persona development, and journey mapping
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions
• Continuously refine UX processes, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design for SaaS, enterprise, or workflow‑heavy products
• Proven experience designing AI/agentic user experiences beyond simple chat interfaces
• Asynchronous task monitoring
• AI transparency and explainability
• Multi‑step automation workflows
• Strong experience designing for complex data visualization and content‑heavy systems
• Experience working across React, Salesforce, and Microsoft ecosystems (Teams/Power Automate)
• Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Figma, Bolt, or similar
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and attention to detail
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Skills

• Front‑end fluency and understanding of how React components integrate with AI APIs, including streaming UI states
• Experience in B2B enterprise environments, particularly GovCon or regulated industries
• Familiarity with prompt engineering concepts and LLM/agent capabilities and constraints
• Experience working with AI/ML or data science teams to translate insights into user‑facing features
