Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space sucht am Standort Manching einen Lead Systems Engineer Ground Support Systems. Sie verantworten die technische Leitung von System- und Softwareaktivitäten rund um die A400M-Ground-Support-Lösungen und koordinieren interdisziplinäre Entwicklungsprozesse.

Sie bringen umfangreiche Erfahrungen in der Systemtechnik, Avionik und Missionsunterstützung mit, arbeiten eng mit dem Engineering-Team zusammen und berichten an die Abteilungsleitung.

Qualifications

• Universitäre Ingenieur- oder Masterausbildung in Information Technology, Luftfahrttechnik o. ä.
• Umfangreiche Erfahrung als technischer Projektmanager und/oder Systemleiter.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in der Entwicklung von Avionik- und/oder Missionsunterstützungssoftware.
• Gute Kenntnisse der Airbus-Entwicklungsprozesse und -standards.
• Erfahrung mit Produktlinien und modularen Architekturen.
• Nachweisbare Fähigkeiten in HW/SW-Design, Windows Client/Server, IT-Security-Härtung.
• Verhandlungssichere Englischkenntnisse; Deutsch/Spanisch/Französisch wünschenswert.

Responsibilities

• Leitung der Systemtechnikaktivitäten in den zugewiesenen Projekten.
• Definition zukünftiger Produktentwicklungen.
• Planung und Koordination eines Entwicklungsprojekts innerhalb der Abteilung.
• Übernahme der Verantwortlichkeiten für Aufgaben des Projekts sowie Steuerung von Umfang, Zeit, Kosten und Qualität.
• Kooperation mit dem Project Management Organization zur Priorisierung von Projekten.
• Fokus auf Kundenzufriedenheit und Einhaltung aller relevanten Vorgaben.
• Durchführung von Analysen zur Übersetzung von Kundenanforderungen in Systemeigenschaften.
• Planung, Abstimmung und Durchführung technischer Reviews gemäß Airbus-Prozessen.
• Unterstützung der Entwicklung anderer Systemingenieure im Team.

Lead Systems Engineer (d/f/m) Ground Support Systems

We are developing and supporting Ground Support Systems (GSS) for our flying platform A400M in Manching/Germany.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Lead of system engineering activities in the assigned projects
• Define future product developments
• Planning and co-ordination of a development project within the department
• Take over responsibility for the assigned project tasks and manage the agreed scope, time, cost and quality requirements
• Manage project priorities in cooperation with Project Management Organization
• Focus on Customer satisfaction and ensure full compliance with valid rules and regulations
• Lead analysis (Analysis of characteristics and performance) to translate customer requirements, avionics systems requirements into system specifications.
• Planning, coordinating and performing technical reviews according to Airbus processes and provide regular status reports
• Support the development of other system engineers within the team

Desired skills and qualifications

• University Engineering Degree or Master in Information Technology, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent
• Extensive experience as Technical Project Manager and/or System Lead Engineer
• Profound knowledge in developing avionics and/or mission support software
• Good knowledge of Airbus development processes and/or development standards
• Experience with product lines and modular architectures
• HW/SW Design,Windows Client/Server, IT Security Hardening, IT Infrastructure
• Negotiation level in English is a must, good knowledge of German, Spanish or French would be a plus
• Operational background is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel within Germany and abroad
