Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Lead Principal System Architect to drive architecture for Solid State Transformers and define integrated use cases with cross-functional teams in Munich. You will shape product concepts, validate hardware in the lab, and guide customers through technical engagements.

You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and engineering to align requirements with business goals, and you will mentor colleagues while exploring emerging technologies and partnerships.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years in Power Conversion Applications.
• Experience designing and validating proof-of-concept hardware in a lab environment.
• Ability to analyze and simulate with PLECS, SIMetrix or similar tools.
• Excellent English; German is a plus.

• Own system architecture descriptions for Solid State Transformers and new concepts.
• Support Design-In activities with technical evaluations for Sales & Marketing.
• Define system architecture, blocks, and use cases aligned with requirements.
• Contribution to application roadmap with value drivers and diagrams.
• Act as internal SME, providing training and guidance to colleagues and partners.
• Build strong customer relationships and pre-development collaboration.

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Take over responsibility of system architecture description and application requirements in the area of Solid State Transformers , while developing new system concepts based on value drivers for Infineon's solution offering
• Perform technical evaluations to support Design-In activities of the Sales and Marketing organization and contribute to the success of application engagements
• Deliver definitions of system architecture, functional blocks, and application use cases for product definition, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements
• Contribute technical content to the application roadmap process, including v alue drivers, architectures, and block diagrams that support future product development
• Become the internal Go-to-person and subject matter expert, providing training and technical guidance to colleagues, customers, and external partners
• Establish strong relationships with customers and their pre-development teams, acting as a trusted partner to identify, define, and anticipate requirements, market trends, and emerging opportunities
• Engage with internal stakeholders to manage communication and data exchange, proactively analyze and solve complex problems using a global expert network, stay up to date with emerging technologies, and contribute to funding and other cooperative external projects

Your profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering , or a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience and proven experience in Power Conversion Applications
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to analyze and simulate solutions using PLECS, SIMetrix, or similar tools
• Experience in designing and validating proof-of-concept hardware in a laboratory environment
• Proactive and self-motivated mindset with strong stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to communicate and present complex technical topics to both technical audiences and management
• Excellent English communication skills are essential; German is an advantage
