Make-A-Wish America is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to architect, design, build, and deliver solutions on the Salesforce platform for the National Office and chapters across the United States.

The ideal candidate will deliver Salesforce applications within an agile framework, create design specs, develop unit tests, and prepare technical documentation while maintaining strong vendor partnerships.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, IT or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Certified Salesforce Developer required.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Salesforce Lightning Design System, and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to develop within Agile framework.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and/or NPSP preferred.

Position Summary

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will architect, design, build, and deliver technical solutions on the Make-A-Wish America Salesforce platform to support the Make-A-Wish National Office and chapters across the United States. This role will be part of the Salesforce -IT Applications team responsible for analyzing complex business problems and implementing solutions that will enhance the functionality of our growing business applications environment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to deliver Salesforce applications and features and is a strategic problem solver to best meet Make-A-Wish’s needs. The role will deliver work within an agile framework.

This role will also take responsibility for creating design specifications, developing unit test scripts for configuration and code, and preparing technical documentation.

This role will build and maintain positive relationships within internal technical teams, vendors, and product teams to deliver value. The position requires the ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments to support the Make-A-Wish National Office and chapters across the United States.

Knowledge and Abilities
  • Salesforce development experience including configuration, customization, APEX, lightning web components, Triggers, Workflows, Approval processes, Reports and Dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills with a keen sense to recommend optimal solution designs that is simple, secure, and adds value to Make-A-Wish’s goals.
  • Experience implementing and administering Salesforce environments including understanding business needs, taking use cases/user stories and delivering features and functionality, assisting with solution development, testing, training and implementation support.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong vendor partnerships to cohesively deliver value.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and accountability mindset.
  • Critical problem solving.
  • Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with product teams and support teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Custom User Interface development, including Visualforce/Lightning pages, Aura Components and Lightning Web Components
  • Deliver across the product life cycle including product evaluations, solution design, custom development, testing, integrations, and implementation support.
  • Leads or participates in architecture and technical design sessions
  • Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews
  • Coordinates release documentation and communications, including training and customer, service management, and technical release notes.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges and partners closely with the product team to communicate to relevant audiences
  • Support and assist with implementation of integration with other applications
  • Participate in technical design sessions; propose robust scalable solutions and assist in the development of technical solution documentation.
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings, analyze and delivers on assigned user stories
  • Proactively communicates risks and issues with recommendations to the product team and product leadership
  • Adhere to defined coding standards and develop well-structured maintainable code.
  • Effectively debug and resolve reported issues or defects reported
  • Implementation of integration and 3rd party applications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, IT or a related degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 3 years hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Certified Salesforce Developer required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Salesforce Lightning Design System, and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle
  • Proven ability to develop within the Agile framework
  • Experience with Sales cloud, Experience cloud, and/or NPSP preferred. Experience in Marketing cloud a plus.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to thrive in a remote environment.
  • Some travel required.
  • May on occasion require work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and outside normal business hours.
This Role's Hiring Range

$110,000—$121,000 USD
