A leading visual effects studio in Hamburg is seeking a Lead Lighting Artist to collaborate closely with team members and ensure successful project delivery. Essential qualifications include extensive knowledge in Houdini and Nuke, along with experience as a lighting lead. The ideal candidate has a passion for VFX and the ability to support and mentor artists. We are looking for a Lead Lighting Artist to join the crew! You will closely collaborate with the Light Supervisor, the production team and other Skill Supervisors, and you are responsible for planning the work of your team to ensure a smooth and successful delivery.
At ILP, Lighting is a generalist discipline that can include environment tasks such as layout, procedural scattering and bespoke set dressing, lookdev tasks and of course traditional lighting tasks such as beauty lighting, matching of plate lights etc. Our lighting artists constantly collaborate with surrounding disciplines such as FX and Comp.
As a Lead Lighting Artist, you are both a team leader and a senior artist. You delegate work while being a mentor and caring for the well‑being of your team.
This position is a full‑time, permanent role in either Stockholm, Hamburg or London.
