Job summary

Deutsche Telekom Healthcare Solutions GmbH invites an experienced Lead Healthcare AI Strategy & Architecture to shape the Healthcare AI program within T-Systems International. You will steer strategy, portfolio, roadmap and reference architectures for secure data & AI in the healthcare sector, while advising management and leading cross-divisional teams.

The role requires deep AI knowledge, enterprise architectures and strong communication with C-level stakeholders, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building data & AI strategies, platforms or portfolios.
• Deep knowledge of AI architectures including Foundation Models/LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, AI Evaluation, Guardrails and Model Governance.
• Strong experience with enterprise/data/AI architectures and defining target/reference architectures.
• Robust knowledge of GDPR and EU AI Act and governance for trustworthy AI.
• Ability to develop and evaluate use cases, business cases, platform strategies, and technology decisions.
• Multiple years of leading interdisciplinary teams and matrix organizations.
• Experience selecting and evaluating strategic technology partners and performing due diligence.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills at management/C-level and senior leadership.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
• Business fluency in German and English (C1).

Tasks

As Lead Healthcare AI Strategy & Architecture (m/f/d/x), you will shape the development and further development of Deutsche Telekom Healthcare Solutions' Healthcare AI business within T-Systems International. You will be responsible for the strategic and technological orientation of the Healthcare AI program with a focus on the DACH market and a complementary international perspective. Therefore, you will develop the target picture, portfolio, roadmap and reference architectures for secure and sovereign data & AI solutions in the healthcare sector. The role combines strategy, enterprise and solution architecture, portfolio development and market development. You will advise the management, manage cross-divisional teams and partners and represent the company vis-a-vis strategic customers and relevant market players.

Other tasks

• Technical responsibility for the healthcare AI and analytics strategy as well as advising the management on positioning, technology decisions and implementation
• Architecture and evaluation of GenAI/LLM solutions, RAG architectures, AI agents, secure data access models and AI governance mechanisms
• Management of interdisciplinary portfolio, product, architecture, technology and delivery teams in the development of new AI offerings
• Development and evaluation of AI use cases and business cases from conception to market launch
• Establishment and further development of strategic technology, platform and development partnerships including due diligence and integration concepts
• Preparation of decision templates for management and senior management
• Conducting market, competition and technology analyses to further develop the healthcare AI portfolio
• Conception and establishment of governance and compliance structures for trustworthy AI
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, in particular EU AI Act, GDPR and MDR
• Representing Deutsche Telekom Healthcare Solutions in strategic customer meetings, management meetings, conferences and expert committees
• Cooperation with decision-makers and experts from hospitals, health insurance companies, life sciences and other stakeholders in the healthcare sector

Requirements

You have a degree, ideally in (business) informatics or business management, at least 10 years of professional experience in technology, data, analytics, AI or comparable fields, as well as several years of relevant experience in healthcare, life sciences, medtech, health insurance or a comparably regulated environment. You combine in-depth experience in the healthcare sector with a deep understanding of data & AI technologies and the ability to represent complex strategic and technical topics at management level.

• Proven experience in building or fundamentally developing data & AI strategies, platforms or portfolios
• Very good knowledge of modern AI and GenAI architectures, especially Foundation Models / LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, AI Evaluation, Guardrails and Model Governance
• Strong experience with enterprise, data or AI architectures as well as with the definition of target and reference architectures
• Robust knowledge of GDPR and EU AI Act as well as practical experience with governance for trustworthy AI
• Ability to develop and evaluate use cases, business cases, platform strategies, and technology decisions
• Several years of experience in the management of interdisciplinary teams and complex matrix organizations
• Experience in selecting and evaluating strategic technology partners as well as vendor or partner due diligence
• Excellent communication and presentation skills at management, C-level and senior management level as well as diplomatic skills, assertiveness and high persuasiveness
• High willingness to travel (national and international) as well as flexibility
• Business fluent in German and English (both minimum on C1-level)
