Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Lead Engineer for Rebuilds and Conversions to lead process engineering for boiler rebuilds and conversions on global delivery projects. We in Valmet’s Energy and Circularity business unit provide our global clients energy solutions including boiler and gasification plants, including their rebuilds and environmental systems. Our Rebuild and Conversion Technologies department develops, sells and delivers modernizations for power boilers. Often that is connected to changing the used fuel from fossil fuels to renewables like biomass or waste. Also tightening emission rules gives us opportunities to adapt to our technological capabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering for boiler rebuilds and conversions in delivery projects.

This position is located in Warsaw, Poland, but also our Gliwice, Poland and Darmstad, Germany offices can be considered.

What We Expect

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in thermal, energy, environmental, chemical, or process engineering from a university or a university of applied sciences.
• You have strong experience in boiler processes and similar industry roles.
• You communicate fluently in English; Polish, Finnish, Germany and other language skills are seen as an advantage.
• You are willing to travel globally for 20–40 days per year (focus countries are Poland, Germany and Czech).
• You work systematically, prioritize effectively, and thrive in dynamic project environments.
