Zusammenfassung

ZeroPhase is seeking its first Lab & Hardware Technician to be the backbone of our hardware operations. You’ll set up test benches, solder PCBs, and prep hardware for field deployment, ensuring lab run smoothly and documentation is kept up.

You’ll work daily with our engineering team on bring-up, testing, and assembly of RF and embedded systems, with hands-on role and clear growth trajectory within a small, fast-moving startup.

Qualifikationen

• Apprenticeship in electronics or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Familiar with standard lab equipment and measurement tools.
• Detail-oriented, logs and labels items clearly, avoids shortcuts.
• Hands-on, self-sufficient builder who enjoys hardware development.
• Interest in DefTech, RF systems, UAVs.

Aufgaben

• Set up and operate test benches, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, generators, VNAs, power supplies.
• Run standardized hardware tests under engineer direction and log results.
• Solder and rework PCBs, SMD, connectors, and cable harnesses.
• Support hardware bring-up: flashing firmware, basic diagnostics, configuration logging.
• Build/modify test fixtures and jigs for prototyping and testing.
• Prepare and pack hardware for field deployment and customer deliveries.
• Manage component and equipment inventory; track stock and place orders.
• Keep workspace organized, documented and compliant.
• Support prototyping: mechanical assembly, 3D printing, enclosure builds.

The role

As our first Lab & Hardware Technician, you'll be the backbone of our hardware operations. Engineers need to engineer, you make sure everything around that runs smoothly. From setting up test benches to soldering PCBs to prepping hardware for field deployment, you're the person who keeps the lab functional, organized, and ready for whatever we're building next.

This is a hands-on role. You'll work directly alongside our engineering team every day, supporting bring-up, testing, and assembly across our RF and embedded hardware systems.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate test benches, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, VNAs, power supplies
• Run standardized hardware tests under engineer direction and log results accurately
• Solder and rework PCBs, SMD, connector assemblies, cable harnesses
• Support hardware bring-up: flashing firmware, basic diagnostics, configuration logging
• Build and modify test fixtures and jigs
• Prepare and pack hardware for field deployment and customer deliveries
• Manage component and equipment inventory, track stock, flag shortfalls, order & make deliveries
• Keep the workspace organized, documented, and compliant
• Support prototyping work: mechanical assembly, 3D printing, enclosure builds

What we’re looking for

• Highly capable with a soldering iron; SMD
• Completed apprenticeship in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field (Elektroniker, Mechatroniker, or similar); or equivalent hands-on experience
• Familiarity with standard lab equipment and measurement tools
• Detail-oriented: you log things properly, you label things, you don't cut corners
• Hands-on, self-sufficient, a builder at heart
• Interest in what we're building: DefTech , RF systems, UAVs

Nice to have

• Experience in an electronics, aerospace, or hardware startup environment
• Exposure to RF or communications hardware
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management tools
• Basic understanding of PCB assembly or IPC standards
