Job summary

Kodland is seeking an online tutor to prepare and conduct Scratch programming lessons for children aged 5 to 17. You will provide support and feedback, adapting teaching to individual student needs. Expect up to 10-15 hours per week in group and individual sessions on Zoom.

Flexible hours, remote work, and a chance to learn Roblox with support. Prior online teaching experience and a related degree are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Scratch and experience creating programming projects in Scratch.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.
• Experience working with children and young people.
• Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Experience in online teaching or tutoring is preferred.
• A relevant degree (CS, Education, or similar) will be considered an advantage.

Job description

Kodland is a digital platform connecting tutors and children aged 5 to 17, teaching game development (Unity/Roblox/Minecraft), programming (Scratch/Python), web development (Javascript, HTML, CSS), digital design (Blender/Photoshop). Position description:

The online tutor will be responsible for preparing and conducting online programming lessons in Scratch, providing support and feedback, and adapting teaching to the individual styles and needs of students.

• Teaching capacity: up to 10-15 hours per week

• Lesson duration: 60 minutes

• Lesson format: group and individual sessions on Zoom

Working hours:

• Flexible working hours

• Weekend availability is welcome

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Scratch and experience in carrying out programming projects in this language

• Excellent communication and teaching skills

• Experience working with children and young people

• Ability to adapt teaching to the individual needs of students

• Experience in online teaching or tutoring is preferred

• A relevant degree (Computer Science, Education, or similar) will be considered an additional advantage

This is a remote position, so you will need your own laptop with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet place to work.
