Sie arbeiten eng mit der Geschäftsführung zusammen, optimieren Prozesse, Finanzplanung und Berichterstattung und treiben Transformation sowie Digitalisierung voran.

Führungsverantwortung, strategisches Denken sowie eine hands-on Mentalität sind wichtig.

Qualifications

• Fachspezifische Führungserfahrung im Finanz- und Controlling-Umfeld.
• Starke analytische Fähigkeiten und Erfahrung im Reporting.
• Erfahrung in der Führung von Finance-Teams und Zusammenarbeit mit der Geschäftsführung.

Job description

We are supporting an established, growing business in the Nuremberg region in the appointment of a Kaufmännischer Leiter (m/w/d) to take ownership of its finance and commercial operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance leader to take on a broad, hands‑on leadership position, working closely with senior management to drive financial performance, improve processes and support the company's continued development.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the commercial and financial management of the business, including accounting, controlling, reporting and financial planning.
• Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring efficient processes and high‑quality financial information.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and working capital optimisation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Develop management reporting, financial KPIs and performance analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, automation and digitalisation.
• Act as a key sparring partner to the Managing Director and wider leadership team on financial and commercial matters.
• Support strategic projects, business transformation and operational improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks and other relevant stakeholders.

You

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership position, such as Kaufmännischer Leiter, Head of Finance, Finance Director or Head of Controlling.
• Strong background in accounting, controlling, financial planning and management reporting.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to combine strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach.
• Track record of improving finance processes, systems and reporting structures.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with senior management.
• Fluent German and strong English communication skills.
• Experience within a private equity‑backed or transformation‑focused environment would be advantageous.
