HYROX is a global sports event series that combines running and functional fitness training in a unique race format. Founded in Germany in 2017, HYROX has evolved into a worldwide fitness movement with events across five continents, attracting tens of thousands of athletes every season.

To support our Global Operations team, we are looking for a Junior Operations Manager Event Layout & Planning (m/f/d) to help deliver world-class athlete and spectator experiences across our international event series.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing event floorplans using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD), integrating start/finish zones, warm-up and recovery areas, merchandise, partner activations and more
  • Optimize athlete and spectator flow through the venue to ensure a smooth, safe, and energizing event experience
  • Collaborate with internal HYROX departments (Operations, Race Management, Commercial, Merchandise) to align layouts with race and business objectives
  • Support the commercial and partnerships teams by strategically placing sponsor zones and activations for maximum visibility and engagement
  • Continuously improve startwave logistics and capacity planning to support event growth without compromising the athlete experience
  • Work closely with venue teams, logistics providers, and local vendors to ensure layout feasibility and safety compliance
  • Join the on-site operations team at HYROX events to gain practical insights and integrate learnings into layout design
  • Support the creation of operations playbooks including layout schematics and flow maps for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure all designs are delivered on time, are technically and operationally viable, and meet local regulations and safety standards
YOUR PROFILE
  • 1–3 years of experience in event operations, venue planning, or spatial/event design – ideally within sports, entertainment, or live events. We also encourage you to apply if you’re already more advanced :).
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vectorworks or similar (experience from relevant university coursework also accepted)
  • Strong attention to detail and solid project management skills
  • Team player with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment with shifting priorities
  • Passion for sport, fitness, and live events is a strong plus
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
