TEKsystems is seeking a Junior Data Center / Network Technician to support IT infrastructure, networking equipment, and data center operations. This role offers hands-on experience with enterprise servers and networking gear, with clear paths into Data Center Technician, Network Technician, or Systems Administration tracks.

The position is contract-to-hire, hybrid based in Sparks, NV, and pays $20.00–$28.00 per hour.

Junior Data Center / Network Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Data Center / Network Technician to support IT infrastructure, networking equipment, and data center operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in data centers, networking, or critical environment operations.

Responsibilities

• Rack, stack, and install servers, switches, and network equipment.
• Run, terminate, label, and manage copper and fiber cabling.
• Perform basic hardware troubleshooting and break/fix activities.
• Monitor data center systems and respond to alerts and service tickets.
• Maintain inventory and document equipment installations.
• Follow safety procedures, SOPs, and change management processes.

Qualifications

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
