Your Responsibilities


LOCATION: Germany: Cologne, Hamburg, or Munich.

• The Junior Manager Commercial Self-Service & SMB supports the commercial development and operational scaling of RTL AdAlliance’ s self-service and SMB advertising business. The role contributes to market analysis, sales enablement, pipeline tracking and go-to-market execution across European markets, helping to translate platform capabilities into clear commercial opportunities for SMBs, agencies, advertisers and sales partners.
• Working closely with the Lead of Commercial Self-Service, as well as Product, Platform Commerce, Client Success and local Sales teams, this role helps prepare commercial materials, identify growth opportunities, monitor performance indicators and support the rollout of proven best-practice approaches. The position is designed for a commercially minded talent with 2–3 years of relevant experience who is ready to take ownership of defined workstreams while developing deeper expertise in platform-based advertising, self-service sales models and international commercial execution.
• New Business Development
  • Identify new business opportunities & Revenue pipeline with Advertisers & Agencies.
  • Develop & Grow the Direct business with a key portfolio of Advertisers & Agencies in a defined market
• Commercial Support & Market Development
  • Support the translation of the Self-Service & SMB strategy into concrete commercial activities, sales initiatives and market-specific execution plans.
  • Identify and document growth opportunities across SMBs, agencies, advertisers, retailers and external sales partners based on market input, platform usage and sales feedback.
  • Support business development activities by preparing target account lists, commercial arguments, market overviews and follow-up materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Sales Enablement & Go-to-Market Execution
  • Prepare and update sales narratives, value propositions, product one-pagers, presentation materials and enablement documents for self-service advertising solutions.
  • Support the rollout of go-to-market approaches across markets by coordinating input from Sales, Product, Platform Commerce and Client Success teams.
  • Help adapt proven SMB and AdManager best practices into reusable commercial playbooks, templates and guidance for local teams and partner structures.
• Partner, Stakeholder & Operational Support
  • Assist in the onboarding and enablement of external sales partners by coordinating materials, collecting requirements and supporting structured follow-ups.
  • Contribute to cross-functional alignment by consolidating market feedback, client needs and commercial bottlenecks for discussion with Product, Platform Commerce and Client Success.
  • Support recurring commercial routines such as pipeline updates, meeting preparation, action tracking, performance monitoring and internal reporting.

Your Profile

• Minimum Graduate degree in Media / Marketing / business related education
• 2–3 years of professional experience in digital advertising, media sales, AdTech, platform business, programmatic advertising, sales operations or a comparable commercial environment.
• Good understanding of digital advertising products, self-service or platform-based sales models.
• Ability to turn product information, data points and market input into clear commercial materials, structured summaries and actionable recommendations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, including confidence working with pipeline data, performance indicators, presentations and commercial reporting.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Product, Platform Commerce, Client Success and international stakeholder groups.
• Strong communication skills in German and English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Proactive, structured and hands‑on working style with willingness to take ownership of defined workstreams and grow into broader commercial responsibility.
