Zusammenfassung

Scalable Capital is seeking a Junior Kotlin / Java Software Engineer - Custody in Munich. You will contribute to scalable, production-grade services using Kotlin, Java and Spring Boot, in a cross-functional team embracing Agile practices.

You’ll learn to deploy cloud-native apps on AWS (ECS, Lambda), participate in CI/CD, and help deliver reliable, secure financial workflows in a fast-paced FinTech.

Qualifikationen

• A university degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Practical experience with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, API development, and relational databases.
• Interest in Domain-Driven Design and translating business requirements.
• Curiosity about cloud-native development and AWS.
• Quality and security mindset with maintainable code.
• Interest in complex financial workflows and quick learning.

• Contribute to the development and evolution of business-critical services using Kotlin, Java and Spring Boot.
• Work closely with experienced engineers in cross-functional teams, learning agile practices, Domain-Driven Design, code reviews, automated testing and continuous delivery.
• Learn to build and operate cloud-native applications on AWS, including containerised services on ECS and event-driven workloads on Lambda.
• Support reliable delivery and operations through infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, observability and monitoring.

• A university degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering or sciences), a comparable qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Practical experience with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot, gained through internships, working-student roles, personal projects or university projects.
• A solid understanding of object-oriented programming, API development, relational databases and automated testing.
• An interest in Domain-Driven Design and translating business requirements into clear software solutions.
• Curiosity about cloud-native development, distributed systems and AWS.
• A quality and security mindset, with attention to clean, maintainable and reliable code.
• An interest in complex financial workflows and the motivation to learn quickly.
• Clear communication skills, a collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.
