Airbus Defence and Space GmbH is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer / Architect to contribute to equipment and subsystem level development during project lifecycles. You will gain experience towards an Electrical Architect role, with a hands-on, structured approach and willingness to travel.

The position targets entry-level professionals in Bremen, offering opportunities to work on technical concepts, trade-offs, and verification within a leading aerospace group.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or similar.
• Deeper knowledge in analog and power design, digital design, or space-related communication networks is an asset.
• Hands-on mentality with a structured, proactive way of working and excellent time management.

• Requirements & Specifications: Analyze customer requirements and create consistent specifications across equipment and subsystem levels.
• Technical Concepts & Trade-offs: Elaborate technical concepts and perform cost-benefit analyses to determine effective solutions.
• Stakeholder Management: Manage technical relationships, drive negotiations, and lead progress meetings with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Standardized Documentation: Generate technical documentation (e.g., electrical interfaces, technical budgets) per ECSS and customer needs.
• Design Reviews & Verification: Prepare, conduct, and support design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and verify closeouts.
• Risk Management: Identify and evaluate project risks and define countermeasures.

In order to support the Electrical and Electronic Development Engineering Department, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Junior Electrical Engineer / Architect (d/f/m)

Act as engineer at Equipment and Subsystem level during the life cycle of projects with the electrical engineering perimeter. Gain experience and develop yourself in order to fit a role as Electrical Architect.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Desired Skills And Qualifications

• Academic Background: University degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a similar relevant field.
• Specialized Knowledge: Deeper knowledge in analog and power design, digital design, or space-related communication networks is considered an asset.
• Work Approach: A hands‑on mentality combined with a structured, proactive way of working and excellent time management.
• Adaptability: High flexibility, creativity, and a general willingness to travel for business purposes.
• Language Proficiency: Negotiation-level English and a good command of the German language.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Determined and clear communication with both internal and external partners, coupled with the ability to assert oneself effectively.
