N26 is hiring a Junior Backend Engineer to join the Data Ingestion team in Berlin. You will help build high-throughput data pipelines, contribute to backend services, and grow with a supportive, senior-led team.

You will learn observability, testing, and CI/CD practices while shipping clean, scalable code. This role offers hybrid work with regular in-office collaboration and opportunities to advance in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifikationen

• Strong backend fundamentals with Kotlin or Java
• Exposure to data storage solutions (PostgreSQL, RDS, S3)
• Basic container experience (Docker) and eagerness to learn Kubernetes
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts (Terraform)
• Interest in CI/CD pipelines and modern automation tools
• Understanding of testing pyramids and unit/integration tests
• Familiarity with observability/monitoring tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana)

As part of this, the Data Ingestion team is responsible for building and maintaining the pipelines that power our bank's data ecosystem, focusing on reliability, scalability, and clean engineering practices.The ideal candidate is an eager learner who is excited to dive into new technologies and solve technical challenges with the support of a senior team.
