Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Planner

The Opportunity:

As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We’re looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.

As a Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) subject matter expert, you’ll bring your analytical, strategic, tactical, and technical expertise to work on projects for a Combatant Command. You'll help your client understand their operational landscape. Using your comprehensive understanding of joint fires and effects, you'll recommend entities for development and integrate into fires battle rhythm events and Joint cycles. You understand non‑kinetic synchronization, integration, and phasing for a layering of effects for EUCOM Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs). As the authority on your topic, your client will look to you for time‑critical recommendations, often under pressure. This is a chance to grow your expertise and broaden your skillset into all areas of JEMSO, including exercises and integration with allies and partners.

You’ll share your expertise with others through leadership and mentoring. We focus on growing as a team to deliver the best support to our clients, so you’ll have resources to learn new skills and tools. You’ll guide the work we do for the Department of Defense at a four‑star command and the solutions we deliver for the warfighter. Further your career with us as you help solve complex design, integration, and analytical problems for military components across Europe.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience working in support of JEMSO cell operations
  • Knowledge of EMS operations and integration of EW, space, cyber, and intelligence at the operational, strategic, or national level
  • Knowledge of Joint planning doctrine and authorities
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office products to create and present professional presentations and briefing material
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Completion of an IO Prime R Course

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working in support of Operations in the Information Environment (OIE)
  • Experience at a Combatant Command
  • Knowledge of JEMSO allies and partner doctrine and policy
  • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate JEMSO tasks and guidance into OPLANs, TASKORDs, appendices, and orders
  • Master's degree
  • Project Management Certification
  • Completion of the Joint Professional Military Education II

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
