Job summary

Freenow in Hamburg seeks an IT Technical Support Specialist to join the IT Service Desk. The role involves on-site and remote Level 1/2 support, troubleshooting across hardware, software, and network issues, and driving automation within Jira or low-code tools.

You will collaborate with HR and IT teams to streamline onboarding and IT services. Relocation to Hamburg is required from start or after six months.

Qualifications

• IT support experience at Level 1/2 with strong diagnostic skills.
• Experience with Jira ticketing and Confluence documentation.
• Proficient in Google Workspace and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

Come and join us in Hamburg!We are looking for an IT Technical Support Specialist to support our IT Service Desk in Hamburg.the relocation to Hamburg is required either from the start or after 6 months.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

• Be the Hero of IT Support! Provide expert Level 1 & 2 support on-site and remotely, using diagnostic techniques and smart problem-solving to keep things running smoothly. This includes troubleshooting hardware with an MDM and solving software issues, resolving network connectivity problems, and assisting with application support.
• Power Up Automation! Design and implement automation workflows, making IT support faster, smarter, and more efficient either in JIRA or in a low code environment like Workato.
• Make IT Effortless! Fine-tune chatbots, self-service tools, and proactive work on IT solutions that save time and effort.
• Be the Bridge Between IT & People! Work closely with teams across the company to improve onboarding, IT services, and workflow automation. Provide clear and effective communication to both technical and non-technical users.
• Innovate & Improve! Identify pain points, optimize processes, and introduce new solutions that take IT to the next level. Contribute to the improvement of our SaaS environment.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

You’ll need to have a Problem-Solving Mindset and the ability to systematically diagnose and resolve technical problems.Automation & IT Efficiency is key! You'll need the passion for improving IT processes through automation and desirable scripting using Bash, Python, or similar languages.You’ll need to have Strong Communication Skills to effectively communicate technical solutions to both IT and non-technical teams. Proficiency with communication tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom is essential.Collaboration & Cross-Team Coordination! Work closely with HR, IT Solutions, and other departments to enhance IT service delivery. Experience with Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence is a plus.You’re need to be Proactive & Self-Driven! Take ownership of tasks and suggest improvements to our IT infrastructure.

Required Technical Skills:

• Education & Background: A big plus is completed training as an IT specialist for system integration (Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration) or a comparable qualification.
• Experience with JIRA for ticket management and issue tracking.
• Experience with Identity Providers such as Okta, Azure AD, and Active Directory.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Google Workspace.
• Experience with MDM solutions for managing macOS, Windows, and iOS devices.
• Familiarity with SaaS environments.
• Experience in scripting using Bash, Python or any other programming language is highly welcomed.
• Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
