A university of applied sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia is seeking an IT System Administrator with a focus on network administration and IT security. The ideal candidate will collaborate on security processes, maintain the university's information security, and ensure data integrity. Applicants should have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in IT or related fields with relevant experience. The role offers flexible terms under the public sector agreement, with opportunities for part-time work.
With approximately 10,000 students, South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences is one of the larger state universities of applied sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia. Around 300 technical and administrative staff work at the university's locations in Hagen, Iserlohn, Lüdenscheid, Meschede, and Soest. with a focus on network administration / IT security
In addition to maintaining purely functional data transport, the network administration of our university's infrastructure also requires the maintenance of the three core protection goals of information security: availability, integrity, and confidentiality of data. In addition to the focus on network administration, the position therefore also requires in-depth knowledge of IT security.
Knowledge of the relevant standards of the Federal Office for Information Security, in particular the IT Baseline Protection Compendium, as well as knowledge of IT service management according to ITIL, are advantageous.
The full-time position is based on the collective agreement for the public sector of the federal states (TV-L) and is permanent. The position is classified in pay grade 13 TV-L. The position can also be filled on a part-time basis. Working hours and place of work can be arranged flexibly within the framework of an existing model.
