Randstad is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer in Hamburg to join our IT security team. The role focuses on planning and implementing IT security strategies and policies, and supporting the Information Security Officer.

You will roll out information security management policies, manage the automated detection and response system, and assist in vulnerability management, incident handling, and security-related projects across the company.

Qualifikationen

• Completed studies in computer science, or a comparable qualification or extensive professional experience.
• Experience configuring and monitoring firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Experience creating IT security policies and emergency plans in compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and BSI Basic Protection is desirable.

Your responsibilities will include: planning and implementing IT security strategies and policies, supporting the Information Security Officer; rolling out information security management policies and implementing/adapting the emergency plan; managing the automated detection and response system and vulnerability management; supporting penetration tests and security-related projects; initiating and monitoring IT security measures; identifying, investigating, and forensically documenting security incidents; and advising other departments on IT security matters.

• Completed studies in computer science, or alternatively a comparable qualification or extensive professional experience
• Solid knowledge in the configuration, maintenance and monitoring of firewalls, VPNs or IDS/IPS systems
• Expertise in identifying vulnerabilities in systems and networks through methods such as audits, penetration tests, or risk analyses.
• Prior experience in creating and enforcing IT security policies and emergency plans in accordance with compliance requirements such as GDPR, ISO 27001 and BSI Basic Protection is desirable.
• Excellent German skills, both spoken and written.
