Job summary

Bayer CropScience Limited is seeking an IT/OT Expert at our Dormagen site to shape information security in a manufacturing environment and ensure secure, cost-effective project delivery.

You will act as a key interface between manufacturing, engineering, project management, technical teams and information security, with responsibilities spanning delivery, risk assessment and security governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, projects and/or turnaround environments.
• In-depth expertise in information security, including network, system and application security, security controls and countermeasures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure PCT elements of site projects are delivered technically sound, economical and timely.
• Identify and assess deficiencies in manufacturing IT/OT; run risk analyses and develop mitigation concepts.
• Implement and coordinate information-security procedures for IT/OT systems, apps and processes.
• Contribute to IT/OT security guidelines, concepts and blueprints with expert input.
• Initiate and execute security projects in collaboration with Information Security stakeholders.
• Take responsibility for technical delivery, budget, timelines and compliance for IT/OT maintenance and complex turnarounds.
• Plan, execute and monitor projects; support investment planning within your area.
• Apply current IT/OT security best practices to the site environment and turn into practical improvements.

As an IT/OT Expert, you will actively shape information security in a manufacturing environment and help ensure that technical projects are delivered securely, cost-effectively and on time. In this local site-based role, you will serve as a key interface between manufacturing, engineering, project management, technical teams and information security.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You ensure that the PCT elements of technical projects at the site are delivered in a technically sound, economical and timely manner
• You identify and assess deficiencies in manufacturing IT/OT, perform risk analyses and develop effective technical mitigation concepts
• You implement and coordinate information-security procedures for manufacturing and product-supply IT/OT systems, applications and processes
• You contribute to the development of IT/OT security guidelines, concepts and blueprints, providing expert input and constructive feedback
• You initiate and execute security projects in close cooperation with the relevant Information Security stakeholders
• You take responsibility for technical delivery, budget, timelines and compliance for IT/OT maintenance activities and complex turnarounds
• You plan, execute and monitor projects, while supporting investment planning and implementation within your area of responsibility
• You bring current IT/OT security best practices into the site environment and turn them into practical, sustainable improvements

WHO YOU ARE

• You hold a degree in a technical discipline, such as engineering, or possess a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, projects and/or turnaround environments
• In-depth expertise in information security, including network, system and application security, security controls and countermeasures
• Strong knowledge of IT/OT systems, architectures, security components and industrial technologies
• Proven project-management, communication, stakeholder-management, negotiation and conflict-management skills
• Professional fluency in both German and English, written and spoken, and confidence working in an international environment
