Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, with strong knowledge of modern on-premises and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 services.
• Knowledge of modern workplace, virtual workplace, and cloud infrastructure concepts, plus IT security standards and best practices.
• Experience managing IT projects and driving technical transformation initiatives.
• Fluent German and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a stable, secure IT infrastructure operation while advising on technology topics.
• Take ownership of Mobile Device Management within Microsoft Intune environment and support migrations.
• Develop Microsoft 365, collaboration landscape; shape Teams, Teams Rooms, video conferencing solutions.
• Contribute to Identity & Access Management services (Active Directory, Entra ID) and security standards.
• Design and enhance modern virtual workplace solutions based on Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Support hybrid infrastructure, cloud, compute, and storage platforms; evaluate emerging technologies for value and cost.
• Manage external service providers and partners ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Support national and international IT projects from concept to implementation of new platforms.
• Assist in tender processes and contract management for IT, infrastructure and cloud services.

KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is looking for an IT Infrastructure & Modern Workplace Expert (m/f/d) for its headquarters in Einbeck, Germany, on a full-time and permanent basis and with a starting date at 1st of June 2027.

In this diverse role, you will actively contribute to the further development of our global IT infrastructure. You will take ownership of modern workplace, cloud, and infrastructure services, drive strategic IT initiatives, and work closely with internal and external partners to ensure a secure, stable, and future-oriented IT environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure a stable, secure, and future-ready operation of our IT infrastructure while advising business functions and management on technology-related topics.
• Take ownership of Mobile Device Management within the Microsoft Intune environment and support device, platform, and technology migration projects.
• Collaborate with the team to further develop our Microsoft 365 and collaboration landscape and shape modern communication solutions based on Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms, and video conferencing technologies.
• Contribute to the evolution of Identity & Access Management services, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, as well as enterprise-wide architecture and security standards.
• Design and enhance modern virtual workplace solutions based on Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop, ensuring the delivery of virtual workspaces and business-critical applications.
• Support the continuous development of hybrid infrastructure, cloud, compute, and storage platforms while evaluating emerging technologies in terms of business value, stability, and cost-efficiency.
• Manage external service providers and partners, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Support national and international IT projects from concept development and business case creation through to the implementation of new infrastructure and application platforms.
• Assist in tender processes, provider selection, and contract management activities for IT, infrastructure, and cloud services.

Your Profile

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, combined with strong knowledge of modern on-premises and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 services.
• Sound knowledge of modern workplace, virtual workplace, and cloud infrastructure concepts, as well as relevant IT security standards and best practices.
• Experience managing IT projects and driving technical transformation initiatives.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
