Earlybird Venture Capital is seeking an intern to join its investment team across Berlin, Munich, and London. You'll work hands-on on real deals, write memos, and develop your own perspective on Europe’s startup landscape.
The role is 3–6 months, starting in 2027, with a relevant work permit and the chance to build deep sector expertise while supporting portfolio companies and expanding your network in Europe’s VC ecosystem.
We're looking for an intern to join Earlybird's investment team across our offices in Berlin, Munich, and London. This is a hands‑on role and you'll work alongside the team on real deals, contribute to investment decisions, and develop your own perspective on the European startup landscape.
Whether you come from a traditional finance background, a more unconventional path, or somewhere in between, what matters to us is how you think, what you're curious about, and what you've done with that curiosity.
At Earlybird, we back the founders shaping Europe's future from before the breakthrough. Founded in 1997, we are one of Europe's most established and active venture capital firms, supporting exceptional technology companies across their growth journey with capital, strategic guidance, and access to a global network. With €2.5bn in assets under management, 9 IPOs, and 35 trade sales, we are proud of what we have built, and even prouder of the team that makes it possible.
We don't have a fixed template for the ideal candidate. Some of our best interns came from finance, others from engineering, the humanities, or paths that didn't fit any obvious category. A few things we do ask for:
A technical or niche background is a bonus, particularly if it maps to an area of active investment focus. We are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the founders and markets we work with, and we welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
We are hiring across all three of our offices. Please indicate in your application which office or offices you are able to work from, subject to work permit requirements. We will do our best to match preferences where possible.
After submitting, you will receive an email with a short video question to answer within 24 hours. The question is designed to give you the chance to share how you think, there are no right or wrong answers.
Candidates who progress will be invited to complete a short written case study, followed by a series of interviews with members of the investment team.
Application deadline: 12 October 2026, 12PM CET.
