With a strong track record of success and an active deployment agenda, the firm is seeking to expand its team with an Associate / Senior Associate in its Hamburg office. The investment approach is fully sector-agnostic, with activity spanning a wide mix of corporate, asset-backed, and special situations opportunities.

Position Overview

The firm is seeking a motivated Associate or Senior Associate to support the origination, execution, and portfolio management of special situations transactions. This role offers full life‑cycle exposure, including active involvement in sourcing, structuring, due diligence, deal execution, and ongoing portfolio value creation. Candidates with experience in Leveraged Finance, LBO modelling, restructuring, carve‑outs, debt structuring, or special situations—from investment banking, private equity, or consulting—will be particularly well aligned.

Key Responsibilities

• Support sourcing and pipeline development by analysing opportunities across multiple sectors and geographies
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including leverage modelling, debt structure evaluation, and scenario analysis
• Lead workstreams in due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, and investment committee preparation
• Participate in negotiations with advisors, lenders, and management teams
• Prepare investment materials and present findings to senior leadership
• Assist with post‑acquisition initiatives, including portfolio monitoring, operational KPIs, and strategic projects
• Work closely with senior investment professionals across the Hamburg and London offices

Ideal Candidate Profile

2–4+ years of experience in:

• Leveraged Finance, private equity, restructuring/special situations, or investment banking with LBO or carve‑out exposure
• Strong technical capability across modelling, valuation, debt/leverage analysis, and transaction execution
• Ability to operate autonomously within small, lean deal teams
• Comfort working across multiple industries and asset types in a fully sector‑agnostic environment
• Effective communication skills, maturity, and a high‑drive, entrepreneurial mindset
