Airbus Defence and Space GmbH offers an internship in Commodity Management for IT Infrastructure. You will gain deep exposure to divisional sourcing for IT infrastructure, supporting IT demand management, supplier evaluation, and strategic supplier landscape development.

The role provides practical experience across the full lifecycle of commodity management in a leading global aerospace context, with a 35-hour week, international environment, and potential for final thesis collaborations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student in a relevant field of study.
• Very good Google Workspace and MS Office knowledge.
• Discretion mandatory with a focus on accuracy.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• German/French/Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and gathering purchasing potentials.
• Support and launch RFI/RFP events via the Airbus Defence & Space procurement tool and follow up the ordering process.
• Prepare negotiation results and supplier proposals.
• Assist in creating commodity- and supplier strategies.
• Handle special tasks, e.g., project tasks to support team leaders.

In order to support the Commodity Procurement IT Infrastructure, Airbus Defence and Space is offering an internship within Commodity Management for IT Infrastructure (d/f/m).

Are you looking for an internship and want to get to know the work of a Buyer/Commodity Manager for IT Infrastructure (d/f/m)? We look forward to you supporting us at Commodity Procurement IT Infrastructure as an intern (d/f/m).

As an intern (d/f/m) you will acquire an in-depth insight into divisional sourcing for IT Infrastructure for products and external customers.

The internship covers three main learning areas: IT Demand Management and Standardisation, which involves learning how Airbus aggregates and standardises IT demands for complexity reduction and procurement efficiency; Supplier Evaluation and Development, focusing on the rigorous assessment and continuous improvement of the supplier base; and Strategic Supplier Landscape Development, where the intern contributes to the long-term evolution of the supplier base by analysing market trends, managing risk, and developing resilient sourcing strategies.

By engaging in these activities, you will receive practical exposure to the full lifecycle of commodity management, from initial demand planning and strategic sourcing to ongoing supplier relationship management and development within a leading global aerospace and defence context.
