Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg invites you to join as an Intern (d/f/m) for Fastening Technologies in Assembly. Start: 01.12.2026, duration 4-6 months, location Hamburg.

You will support the Fastening Project Leader on operational tasks and work on new assembly technologies, contributing to a transnational network within a large civil aircraft production site with flexible working arrangements.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled full-time student in Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Good understanding of Technical topics.
• You enjoy communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Good level of English (written and spoken) in a transnational environment.

Aufgaben

• Support the Fastening Project Leader on operational, planning or organisational tasks.
• Work on New Assembly technologies: Blind Fasteners, connected assets and process monitoring.
• Contribute to the transnational network and team.
• Interact with Design Engineering, Plants, the R&T network and Supplier Partners.

Job Description

In order to support the Assembly Team, Airbus Operations is looking for an Intern (d/f/m) Fastening Technologies for Assembly.

Are you looking for an internship and want to get to know the work of an mechanical engineer?

• Location: Hamburg
• Start: 01.12.2026
• Duration: 4-6 months

Your location: Hamburg Finkenwerder

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Are you wondering how you actually get from university to Airbus? Your working student position is at the Finkenwerder plant and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to the Airbus ferry terminal and back to the university in the morning and at noon. Alternatively, you can take the ferry to Finkenwerder and then ride your bike for about another 15 minutes to the main entrance.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Your main mission will be to support Fastening Project Leader on topics for A350 ramp up and new fastener technology. And your role will be to:

• Give support to the Project Leader on operational, planning or organisational tasks.
• Work on New Assembly technologies: Blind Fasteners, connected assets and Process monitoring
• Contribute to the transnational network and team
• Interactions with Design Engineering, Plants, the Research and Technology network and Supplier Partners.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student in the area of Engineering or an equivalent field of study.
• Good understanding of Technical topics
• You like to communicate and interact with people having different cultural background
• Good level in English (both written and verbal) is a must as we are working in a transnational environment on a daily basis.
