Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking interns for the Transactions Advisory team in Paris for six months. You will work on financial due diligence, support proposal development, and assist with deal-related research across Swiss and French markets.

The role requires enrollment in a Masters program and fluency in German and English, with French preferred. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Masters program.
• Fluent business level in German, English and ideally in French is essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong interest in Accounting, Finance and M&A deal cycle.
• Strong interest in a career within Transactions Advisory.
• Knowledge of Alteryx is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist on financial due diligence buy-side and sell-side assignments.
• Support with preparing proposals for Financial Due Diligence and Financial Vendor Assistance projects.
• Other M&A related tasks such as researching forthcoming deals and targeting private equity.

A&M’s Global Transaction Advisory Group (“TAG”) is the largest transaction advisory practice outside the Big 4 audit firms. Both our French and Swiss teams are lead by highly experienced and established Managing Directors and Senior Directors based in Paris, Zurich and Geneva. The teams have earned an exceptional reputation for their work & they are highly active in France and Switzerland, working for premium clients on high profile deals:large and mid-cap private equity, fast growth premium small cap deals, multinational corporates, and LBO’s. Their work comprises French and Swiss situations and cross border activity in addition to international situations around the world.

A&M TAG have a unique delivery model that enables junior members of the team to gain extensive exposure to Managing Directors and Senior Directors thus empowering individuals to fast track their careers and development. We are expanding, and we are looking for experienced and ambitious Interns to join our Transactions Advisory team based in Paris for six months.

This role will be specifically focused on serving the Swiss and French markets..

How you will contribute

As an Intern, you will be part of the TAG team for 6 months, gaining exposure to:

• Assist on financial due diligence buy-side and sell-side assignments.
• Support with preparing proposals for Financial Due Diligence and Financial Vendor Assistance projects
• Other M&A related (research) tasks e.g. assisting on managing intelligence on forthcoming deals, and working on targeting of private equity
