Zusammenfassung

Freudenberg Group is seeking a qualified engineer to drive process optimization and lead plant modification projects at the Zwingenberg site. The role focuses on data-driven improvements across all production processes, with emphasis on equipment reliability, ROI-focused investments, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Candidates should hold a technical degree and have fluent German and good English, plus experience with SAP PP/MM and MS Office.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of Lean Management and/or Six Sigma (Green Belt certification or higher is an advantage).
• Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset with an independent, structured and solution-oriented approach to work.
• Excellent analytical skills and a systematic approach to solving complex technical problems.
• Strong team-player mentality with excellent communication skills and a confident professional presence.
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a proactive attitude.
• Fluent German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Good working knowledge of SAP (PP/MM) and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Aufgaben

• Systematically enhance the competitiveness of the Zwingenberg production site through data-driven and continuous optimization of all production processes.
• Analyze equipment and process failures and develop and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve efficiency, productivity, cost performance, and quality
• Develop and continuously improve maintenance concepts to ensure high equipment reliability and availability
• Identify, analyze, and evaluate automation opportunities to increase production efficiency
• Assess the technical and financial feasibility of equipment upgrades, expansions, and new machinery investments, including ROI calculations
• Plan, coordinate, and execute plant modification projects as well as the installation and commissioning of new machines and equipment
• Prepare, submit, and monitor capital investment budgets while ensuring compliance with approved project budgets
• Monitor and ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards
• Maintain and continuously improve technical documentation
• Act as the subject matter expert for the Machinery Directive and support its implementation and compliance within the plant
