Jobtailor seeks an experienced EMS educator to lead education and training for emergency care providers, driving course development across classroom, lab, clinical and online settings while mentoring instructors.

You will teach EMT/AEMT/Paramedic courses and AHA classes, ensuring timely feedback and learner engagement across varied schedules and sites.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate with degree or certificate in an Emergency Care discipline (e.g., EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, DO, MD).
• RN: BSN preferred or enrolled in BSN program.
• Two years of emergency care experience at state licensed level.
• Current certification applicable to training assigned (e.g., EMS, EMT/AEMT/Paramedic/RN/PA/DO/MD).
• State EMS Instructor II or working toward completion preferred.
• BLS certification issued by AHA required within three months.
• Certified AHA Instructor in at least one level within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provides education and training to all disciplines of emergency care providers.
• Takes a leadership role in course development through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of classroom, laboratory, clinical and on-line instruction.
• Demonstrates attributes of a professional educator: Self-motivated, effective communicator, effective time manager, team player, organized, knowledgeable, prepared, confident, respectful, student advocate.
• Responsible for EMT, AEMT, Paramedic and/or AHA Course development using the guidelines and curriculum outlined by state and/or the appropriate national agencies.
• Engages the learner and provides well-timed and effective feedback.
• Provides mentorship and/or supervision to the novice instructor.
• Instructs in at least one of the American Heart Association Classes (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
• Teaches at varied times and places using varied formats based on student demand: Day or evening, main campus, mobile Sim lab or on site of students' employment.

Requirements

• Graduation from a University or Community College with a degree or certificate in an Emergency Care discipline (i.e.: EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, DO, MD, Law Enforcement)
• If RN, BSN preferred or enrolled in BSN program.
• Two years of experience providing Emergency Care in ones State of Wisconsin Licensed level.
• Required certification applicable to training assigned (i.e. State of Wisconsin or Illinois Licensed Emergency Care Provider, or other applicable certification, such as EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, DO or MD)
• State of Wisconsin or Illinois Certified EMS Instructor II or working toward completion preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required within three (3) months.
• Certified American Heart Association Instructor in at least one level (BLS, ACLS, PALS) within 1 year.
