Job summary

Doctolib GmbH in Berlin seeks an AI Engineer Intern to join the Tech team and help develop AI-powered features for healthcare professionals and patients. You will collaborate with experienced AI and software engineers to prototype, evaluate, and improve AI-based solutions.

You will write Python code for prototypes, experiments, evaluation tools, and backend components, and explore prompts, retrieval, and tool integration. Mentoring is provided in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing final year of a degree in CS/AI/Software Engineering or related field.
• Basic experience with Python through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Curious about AI and understand how AI systems work.
• Comfortable communicating in English, written and spoken.

This internship will give you the opportunity to gain practical experience across the different stages of an AI product, from experimentation to integration into a production environment.Your responsibilities will include:* Contribute to the development of AI features and services under the guidance of experienced engineers* Write Python code to support prototypes, experiments, evaluation tools, and backend components* Experiment with large language models, prompting techniques, retrieval, and tool integration* Contribute to automated tests and documentation for the components you develop* Investigate issues, analyse results, and suggest improvements to your team* Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team ritualsYou will receive regular guidance from your mentor and teammates.
