Zusammenfassung

RWE Offshore Wind GmbH is seeking an experienced HSE professional for an onshore role based on Heligoland with regular offshore assignments for the Trident windfarm. You will advise site management on health, safety and environmental issues, support continual improvement and ensure a strong HSE culture across the offshore environment.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Health and Safety related discipline, engineering/safety engineering or similar.
• Higher safety qualification and ideally higher qualification in an environmental discipline.
• Audit qualification such as ISO 45 001 / 14 001 internal auditor, plus an Incident root cause analysis qualification.
• HSE professional qualification in accordance with German law (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit).
• GWO Basic Safety Training would be desirable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as HSE professional, preferably in Offshore Wind, energy or oil and gas sectors.
• Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining a certifiable HSE Management System.
• Very good written and spoken German and English; multilingualism is an advantage.
• Willingness to be on Heligoland and to work offshore on SOV shifts.

Aufgaben

• Support the Trident offshore windfarm in its operational phase.
• Provide independent, expert guidance to site management on health, safety and environmental issues; promote a high standard of HSE awareness and culture.
• Support the site Team in implementing the We Care ethos including behavioral safety, wellbeing and sustainability initiatives.
• Engage with teams and contractors to reduce risks and develop HSE culture.
• Produce, review and update HSE-related documentation as directed by senior HSE leadership.
• Contribute to annual KPIs and We Care goals for the site Team and wider business.
• Carry out regular workplace inspections on and offshore.
• Plan, run and record feedback on emergency response drills.

We are looking for someone who is keen to be part of a team that is committed to ensuring continuous improvement and working hand in hand with operational teams, the role will be onshore based but will require regular travel offshore to the operational offshore environment. About the role

• Support the Trident offshore windfarm in its operational phase.
• Providing independent, expert and professional advice and guidance to the site management on all health, safety and environmental issues, actively participate in and promoting a high standard of health, safety and environmental awareness and culture at the operational offshore wind farm Trident.
• Proactively support the site Team in implementing high standards of proactive and continual improvement ‘We Care’ ethos, including initiatives in behavioral safety, wellbeing and sustainability to ensure a positive impact on the team members.
• Engage and develop relationships with teams and contractors to eliminate and reduce risks, develop HSE culture for the people on site and adhere to HSE standards and rules.
• Produce, review and update health, safety and environmental-related documentation required by the allocated site Team as directed by the Head of HSE Offshore Operations and Team Lead Region 2 HSE Offshore Operations Continental Europe or required by the HSE function.
• Contribute towards and deliver on annual key performance indicators, annual We Care goals and targets for the site Team and wider business.
• Carry out regular workplace inspections on and offshore.
• Planning, running and recording feedback on emergency response drills

Job requirement and experience

• Degree in Health and Safety related discipline, engineering/safety engineering or similar.
• Higher safety qualification and ideally will also hold a higher qualification level in an environmental discipline.
• Audit qualification such as ISO 45 001 / 14 001 internal auditor, along with an Incident root cause analysis qualification.
• Qualification as a HSE professional in accordance with the German legal requirements (“Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit”).
• Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training certification would be desirable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as HSE professional, preferably in Offshore Wind, energy or oil and gas sectors.
• Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining a certifiable HSE Management System.
• Very good written and spoken German and English is a must, further foreign languages are an advantage.
• Good health, with general all-round fitness to work in an offshore environment including working at height with the ability to undertake the mandatory medical checks (AWMF offshore medical) and tests according to legal requirements
• Regular presence on Heligoland as well as working in shift module 14/14 rotation on SOV (Service Operation Vessel) within the windfarm including work on offshore installations (WTG and substations).
