About the role

Our team is looking for a People / HR Controller to pilot our personnel expense (PEX) forecasting and FTE planning processes. This is a highly visible role within our People Systems & Analytics subteam, where you will partner closely with cost center owners and the leadership team to ensure accurate and strategic workforce-related financial and FTE planning. Though we offer a generous hybrid-working setup, this position is based in Berlin.

Beyond quarterly controlling topics, you will have the unique opportunity to establish and configure our PEX controlling module within our HRIS, creating a scalable, data‑driven foundation for personnel cost planning. What you'll be doing
  • Lead Personnel Expense & FTE Planning: Own the annual personnel expense forecasting and headcount planning process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
  • Build Our PEX Controlling Module: Work in tandem with the Senior Project Manager in designing and implementing the personnel expense controlling module within our HRIS, enabling automated, transparent, and future-proof planning capabilities.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain models for personnel cost planning, monitor variances, and provide actionable insights to cost center owners and leadership.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Build and enhance reporting dashboards using our HRIS and Excel to deliver clear, reliable analytics for workforce and cost planning.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a trusted partner to Finance, People, and business leaders, enabling informed decisions through transparent data and proactive communication.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and implement best practices in personnel-related controlling.
What you bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Controlling, Finance, Business Administration, HR, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid understanding of personnel expense budgeting and forecasting, ideally with experience in annual planning cycles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; experience with HRIS reporting and dashboard creation is a plus.
  • Ability to translate data into insights and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving improvements.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, international environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in either English or German.
