Hotel Market Manager Germany & Nordics (1800023B)
The Market Manager’s primary responsibility in their assigned territory is to initiate, develop and maintain a high quality portfolio of hotel products for RoomIt’s fast‑growing global customer base.
Market Managers are responsible for growing unique content revenues with individual properties and local hotel chains while maximizing supplier yield. They will be responsible for establishing strategic relationships with these suppliers and will represent the face of CWT in the market.
Main responsibilities and duties
Business Development
- Develop and maintain a high quality portfolio of relevant, attractive and competitive hotel products
- Develop and implement business development strategy
- Ensure supplier yield is maximized
- Communicate RoomIt’s unique value proposition within the marketplace to drive awareness of our brand and build relationships for the long term
- Show deep understanding of customers’ needs and local competitive environment
- Lead supplier contract negotiation and optimization as well as sign high yield agreements with qualified strategic partners
- Manage complex agreements ensuring they benefit CWT, our suppliers and our customers
- Ensure pipeline database is kept up to date
- Work with internal supplier and client‑facing teams to develop sales strategies that further our commitment to best practices and global collaboration
Account Management
- Manage a dedicated supplier portfolio composed of local hotel chains and independent hotel groups
- Grow supplier revenues
- Ensure supplier revenues are fully collected
- Control and manage content quality such as best rates and availability versus competition
- Develop and sustain strong partner relationships by providing ongoing strategic and consultative support
- Secure seasonal deals, dynamic promotions within the guidelines set by management to support the brands’ merchandising and marketing efforts
- Constantly explore new revenue opportunities linked to distribution of bedrooms but also ancillary services (food & beverage, meetings & events, etc.)
- Manage preferred suppliers at local and regional level
- Drive quarterly reviews at local, regional or global level
- Continuously consolidate knowledge of the ever‑changing travel landscape
Qualifications
- You ideally have a Master’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism or Business Administration
- Fluent in English and German
- Experience and knowledge of hotel sales and distribution and/or global travel management
- First experience in supplier management and/or hotel negotiations and selling within a B2B environment
- Preferred experience within the corporate travel, hospitality, OTA, airline, GDS sector or other global network service related companies
- High degree of business acumen, extensive problem‑solving skills and ability to establish relationships at all levels of an organization both internally and externally
- Ambitious, motivated and results‑focused as well as metrics‑driven
- Drive each project and sales process up to completion in an autonomous, creative and professional manner
- Proven persistence when facing challenging situations
- Appetite for fast‑changing business environment
- Strong analytical and solid financial and negotiation skills
- Ability to select and present insightful dataset including performance, market and competitor analysis and to implement meaningful action plans
- Problem‑solving skills and ability to identify trends
- Effective communication to various levels and through a variety of communication channels, oral and written
