Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany, seeks a HiL Development Engineer to craft digital-twin models of the Formula 1 power unit and develop real-time HIL environments for the power electronics domain. You will test ECU software before it hits the track and support race-event operations.
Requirements include MATLAB/Simulink modelling for real-time targets, Speedgoat-based HIL experience, control-unit interfacing via CAN/Ethernet, and knowledge of BMS/ECU hardware.

The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Formula 1 factory of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Audi Motorsport Technology Center in UK is in its launch phase and growing continuously. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

This position is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).
As a HiL Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of complex dynamic Hardware-in-the-loop environments, taking into account the overall progress of the project and its requirements.
In your role, you will oversee the development of real-time Hardware-in-the-Loop systems, with a particular focus on the power electronic domain.
Here, you can develop digital twin models of the Audi F1 power unit, including the high-voltage battery and power electronics, and test the ECU software before it hits the track.
