Knauf Gips KG sucht eine erfahrene Fachkraft im Untertagebergbau zur Leitung technischer Projekte in der EMEA-Region. Sie arbeiten eng mit lokalen Teams zusammen, um Sicherheit, Zuverlässigkeit und Produktivität sicherzustellen und strategische Ziele umzusetzen.

Aufgaben umfassen Planung, Überwachung von KPIs und die Führung von Teams mit Fokus auf Kostenkontrolle und Betriebseffizienz. Reisebereitschaft bis zu 50% wird erwartet; Deutsch und Englisch sind erforderlich.

Qualifikationen

• Abschluss in Bergbauingenieurwesen, Untertagebau, Tunnelbau oder vergleichbare Fachrichtung.
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Untertagebergbau, idealerweise in internationalem Umfeld.
• Technische Kenntnisse in Untertagegewinnung, Drivage, Belüftung und Sicherheitssystemen.

Aufgaben

• Technische Führung und operativer Überblick für Untertagebauprojekte in der EMEA-Region, Fokus Sicherheit, Zuverlässigkeit, Produktivität und Kosten.
• Unterstützung lokaler Management-Teams bei sicheren und effizienten Bergbauaktivitäten; Senior-Technikautorität und Berater.
• Überwachung von KPIs, Analyse von Kennzahlen und Umsetzung von Verbesserungsinitiativen.
• Mitwirkung bei Kurz-, Mittel- und Langzeitplanung sowie CAPEX-Investitionen, technische Präzision sicherstellen.
• Führung, Coaching und Weiterentwicklung technischer Teams; Sicherheitskultur und Compliance fördern.

What you’ll do

• Provide technical leadership and operational oversight for underground mining operations and related development projects across EMEA, with a strong focus on occupational safety, operational reliability, productivity and cost optimization
• Support local management teams in delivering safe and efficient underground mining activities, while acting as a senior technical authority and trusted advisor on mining operations, infrastructure and development matters
• Monitor operational and financial performance, analyze key KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen technical standards, equipment utilization, process efficiency and overall mine performance
• Contribute to the planning and execution of short-, medium- and long-term mine development, new underground projects and approved CAPEX investments, ensuring technical rigor, operational continuity and timely delivery
• Lead, coach and develop technical teams and local organizations, while promoting a strong safety culture, regulatory compliance, knowledge sharing and alignment with global mining standards and long-term raw material strategy

Who you are

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Underground Mining, Tunnelling or a comparable technical discipline, ideally complemented by additional qualifications in areas such as rock mechanics, ventilation, geotechnics, explosives, project management or mine safety
• Extensive years of relevant experience in underground mining operations, including a proven track record in senior technical or operational leadership roles, ideally within an international mining or industrial environment
• Strong technical and practical expertise in underground extraction, mine development, drivage, ground support, ventilation, mine safety systems and, where applicable, drilling and blasting
• Solid understanding of operational and commercial aspects, including mine development planning, cost control, budgeting, KPI management, regulatory compliance, underground safety standards and the implementation of mine development or new mine projects
• Credible, hands-on and safety-focused leader with strong communication skills, fluent in German and English and willing to travel up to 50% across EMEA
