About the Role

Every day we rise to the challenge to make a difference. The Head of Marketing Germany will:

  • Lead the marketing team, fostering a culture of curiosity, challenging the status‑quo, and high performance
  • Develop and implement marketing strategy for Viatris field‑force promoted brands in Germany and provide guidance for other Viatris business areas
  • Prepare and drive the successful launch of innovative patented Rx products, including pre‑marketing, defining timelines, resources, budgets, and stakeholder responsibilities in close collaboration with functions such as Medical, Market Access, Operations, and other internal/external partners
  • Coach and manage team members, building capabilities and facilitating ways of working that fit the innovation model and spreading them across the organization
  • Oversee forecast and budget responsibility for respective brands, collaborating closely with sales teams and operations
  • Assess and analyze brand, market and competitor data through gathering customer insights and competitive intelligence; identify drivers and refine segmentation according to customer needs
  • Drive digital and omnichannel transformation
  • Work directly with BU Heads, other functions, regional and global colleagues to ensure a well‑aligned marketing development strategy for the German market
  • Manage external and internal partners (agency, consultants, internal centers of excellence, etc.) for marketing activities on the assigned products to comply with deadlines and ensure best results
  • Ensure adherence to compliance policies, applicable laws and regulations
Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for a candidate who has a combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field; Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences preferred
  • Minimum 8–10 years of marketing experience in the innovative pharmaceutical/biotech industry, with at least five years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record in launching innovative patented Rx products, leading cross‑functional teams at country level and representing the country in global cross‑functional teams
  • Good practical knowledge of the German pharmaceutical market
  • Proven sales experience
  • Strong analytical and strategic capabilities, able to articulate a focused and business‑oriented marketing strategy
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, omnichannel engagement and data‑driven decision‑making, including the use of AI tools
  • Profound business knowledge and ability to analyze key business performance indicators
  • Strong leadership skills, including presentation, negotiation and decision‑making skills
  • Strong team‑management skills, able to drive a team of professionals to high performance in a motivating manner
  • Excellent German and English language skills, both written and oral
