Job summary

VEXCASH AG is seeking a Head of Finance in Berlin to lead the finance department and drive financial strategy. The role involves overseeing accounting, reporting, regulatory compliance, audits, and cross-border EU transactions in a dynamic fintech environment.

You will coordinate fundraising efforts, ensure tax compliance, and manage ERP systems while working with an international team. The position offers hybrid work options and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of managerial experience in the finance sector.
• Very good command of English.
• Familiarity with banking/finTech sectors.
• Knowledge of relevant tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage the finance department and lead the team.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare regular reports and ad hoc analyses.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee audits.
• Assist with bookkeeping and prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
• Oversee cross-border EU transactions and fundraising activities.

Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Head of Finance based in Berlin, to start immediately.

Your responsibilities:

• Managing the finance department
• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Ensuring accounts are kept in accordance with regulations
• Assisting with bookkeeping, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Ensuring and monitoring compliance with all regulatory requirements and supporting internal and external audits
• Preparing regular reports and ad hoc analyses based on cost and performance indicators (e.g. target/actual analyses and productivity analyses)
• Ensuring that specialist knowledge in the areas of payment transactions, fintech and banking is kept up to date at all times
• Cross-border transactions within the EU

Your skills:

• You hold a degree in Business Administration or have completed another relevant qualification
• You have several years’ relevant professional experience as a manager in the finance sector
• You have a very good command of English
• You are familiar with the banking or FinTech sector
• You have knowledge of the relevant tax laws
• You have experience with common ERP systems
• You enjoy working as part of a team
