Kittl is hiring a Head of Engineering in Berlin to build and scale the engineering org. Reporting to the CTO, you will coach first-time leads into managers, set performance standards, and remove bottlenecks to improve delivery.

You’ll own quality and align strategy with product, marketing, and leadership while staying close to code. You’ll lead in a fast-growing, AI-native design platform used by 11M users, with a hybrid work model: 3 days in Prenzlauer Berg and remote work options.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years managing engineering teams
• Strong background in software development, architecture and systems design
• Experience leading delivery in a fast-growing product environment

As our Head of Engineering, you'll build the organisation behind it: you'll manage engineers directly and turn capable team leads into strong managers. You'll own how we deliver, which means finding what really slows us down, fixing the system and proving it worked, with the team we already have. Reporting to our CTO, Phil, you'll shape engineering strategy with him and work hand in hand with Product and Marketing so our capacity goes where Kittl is heading.
