Munich (hybrid) | Early-stage | Relocation offered | German Speaker Preferenced)
We're working with an early-stage company in Munich that’s already doing what most teams spend years trying to prove - building a product that customers genuinely rely on, and scaling it with enterprise clients.
Construction is one of the largest industries in the world - and one of the least modernised. Processes are fragmented, manual, and often held together by spreadsheets and workarounds.
This company is taking a different approach - building towards full workflow automation across the value chain, using AI to remove entire layers of operational friction. The opportunity isn’t just to improve workflows, it’s to redefine how they exist in the first place.
They’ve moved quickly from early traction into meaningful revenue, with large customers already embedded and expanding. They’ve also recently raised from some of the most respected investors globally in software and AI - the kind of names that tend to show up early in category-defining companies.
This is a leadership-level role, sitting at the heart of how the engineering team and org evolve over the next phase of growth. You won’t be inheriting a mature, fully-structured function. Instead, you’ll be working closely with the founders to:
It’s a role for someone who wants to build the team, not just manage the one that exists.
A platform focused on automating complex workflows within the construction industry - starting with material procurement and finance, and expanding towards a broader vision of AI-driven, agent-led automation.
It’s a huge, under-digitised space with real inefficiencies and clear ROI for customers. They’re already live with some of the world’s largest construction companies, with plans to expand further internationally.
You’re likely someone who:
German language is important here - most customers are German-speaking, and engineers are expected to engage with them directly.
They’ve learned quickly that this stage exposes a real leadership gap - one they’re open about internally. They now want someone who can take that gap and turn it into a function.
There’s a very specific window where a company has:
This is that window. The person joining now won’t just manage a team - they’ll shape how the company builds and grows people, with a clear path to broader engineering leadership as the org scales.
Build the team, not just run it
