This role is based in Dresden, one of Germany’s most vibrant tech hubs.

Responsibilities as Head of Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing software team in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
• Define and deliver the technical vision for cutting-edge healthcare applications, ensuring top standards in security, reliability, and scalability.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle – from concept and architecture through to deployment and continuous optimisation.
• Promote and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and documentation, with adherence to healthcare regulations and standards.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies, using the latest in C#.NET and cloud-based architectures to improve development efficiency and patient impact.

Requirements for the Head of Development position:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (a Master’s degree is preferred).
• Extensive experience in a senior software development role with a strong track record of leading and scaling development teams.
• Deep expertise in C#.NET, including ASP.NET and .NET Core, especially in the development of secure, high-performance healthcare applications.
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills, able to collaborate with both clinical and technical stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
• A genuine passion for healthcare innovation and a desire to make a real impact on patient well-being.
