Retarus is seeking a Head of Consulting in Munich to lead and shape a global consulting organization. You will oversee pre- and post-sales capabilities, build scalable processes, and drive continuous improvement across delivery, people, and performance.

You will manage capacity, resource allocation, and senior client engagements, working with Sales, Product, and Demand & Process teams to ensure high-quality outcomes in an international setting.

• Lead, develop, and improve the Consulting organization and its employees.
• Take disciplinary and functional leadership responsibility for the Consultants.
• Build and develop overarching Consulting capabilities, methodologies, standards, and ways of working.
• Establish an integrated end-to-end Consulting approach covering pre-sales and post-sales.
• Own capacity and resource planning and prioritize requests and projects.
• Assign Consultants based on capacity, required Consulting skills, and product expertise.
• Ensure high delivery quality across customer projects.
• Develop Consultants professionally and foster knowledge sharing.
• Define and track Consulting KPIs and derive improvement measures.
• Act as escalation point for critical customer and project situations.
• Collaborate closely with Lead Consultants to ensure required product-specific expertise.
• Work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Demand & Process Management to align priorities, customer requirements, capacity, and delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead, develop, and continuously improve the Consulting organization and its employees.
• Take disciplinary and functional leadership responsibility for the Consultants.
• Build and continuously develop overarching Consulting capabilities, methodologies, standards, and ways of working.
• Establish an integrated end-to-end Consulting approach covering both pre-sales and post-sales activities.
• Own capacity and resource planning and prioritize pre-sales requests and customer projects according to business priorities.
• Assign Consultants based on available capacity, required Consulting skills, and product expertise.
• Ensure high and consistent delivery quality across customer projects.
• Develop Consultants professionally and personally and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Define and track relevant Consulting KPIs and derive improvement measures.
• Act as escalation point for critical customer and project situations.
• Collaborate closely with Lead Consultants to ensure the required product-specific expertise is available and continuously developed within the Consulting organization.
• Work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Demand & Process Management to align priorities, customer requirements, capacity, and delivery.

What you’ll need

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Business Informatics, or a related field; alternatively, equivalent practical experience with a strong technical, consulting, and leadership background
• Several years of experience in Technical Consulting, Professional Services, Solution Consulting, Solution Delivery, or a comparable customer-facing technical role, ideally in an international environment
• Proven leadership experience with responsibility for people development, team performance, capacity planning, resource allocation, and prioritization
• Strong experience managing complex technical customer engagements end-to-end, from pre-sales and solution design through implementation and go-live, including handling critical customer and project escalations
• Proven ability to establish and continuously improve consulting methodologies, standards, best practices, organizational structures, and ways of working
• Strong customer and stakeholder management skills, combined with a technical, solution-oriented mindset, excellent communication, sound decision-making, and a
• strong focus on quality and continuous improvement
• Very good / business-fluent German and English skills
• Ability to work effectively in an international and distributed organization
